About the event

When parents receive a down syndrome, diagnosis, it’s too often accompanied by a life sentence of doom and gloom, despite the fact that studies show that families that raise children with Down syndrome tend to be happier and more fulfilled.

The mission of ABLE movie is to celebrate families raising a child with Down syndrome, inspire those who are about to, and show the rest of the world why the Down syndrome community refers to themselves as “the lucky few."

Set for production in Auburn/Opelika in Spring 2027, we now invite the local church to lay their hands on this project, too, and learn about four meaningful ways they can help us get this movie made!
